Last month two ambulances had to be called to two separate incidents involving players with serious injuries. But due to cars parked in front of the gates at both venues, the ambulances were delayed from reaching the stricken players by over 30 minutes on each occasion, whilst the owners of the cars were found and the cars moved from in front of the park entrances.

How would you feel if this was a member of your team who needed that ambulance?

With parking warnings being ignored despite requests on this website and in the paper, it was only a matter of time before the incidents above were going to happen. However, the groundsmen at all venues where there is this problem have now acquired mobile telephone numbers for their local police officers, and they will be called to take the registration numbers of offending vehicles and issue fines though Kent Police.

Park responsibly or face a fine. You've been warned for the last time.

With the withdrawl of Northwood from the TSFL last month, the oppotunity has arisen for another club to play their home matches at St Lukes. Clubs should be aware that part of the agreement of using St Lukes as your home ground, are the fact that your club will be required to assist with the maintainence of St Lukes during the Summer months.

Based on the above, interested clubs wishing to be considered for St Lukes should contact Nigel Pope the League Secretary in writing or by e-mail by April 30th.

Two dates for your diaries. On Thursday 18th June the TSFL AGM will be held from 7.30pm at the Red Arrow Club.

There will also be a 5 a side tounament held on August 23rd at St Lukes in an attempt to raise some much needed money for the upkeep of St Lukes, and in particular to pay for a new roof which has been in urgent need of repair for some time. More details will be available in June or July so watch this space.

From August 1st the pitch fees are being increased by Thanet Leisureforce from their current levels. This was originally reported as April 1st, but has now been confirmed as August 1st.

The cost of the self help pitches will rise by £1.00 to £38.00, and the cost of the other Thanet Leisureforce pitches will rise by £4.00 to £50.00.

Clubs are reminded that black or very dark coloured kits are not allowed to be used in TSFL competition as per the league rules handbook. This also includes black or very dark goalkeeper shirts.

Please park responsibly at all council grounds, but in particular at Birchington and at Jackey Bakers. Some cars have parked in front of the main gates which could prevent or delay an ambulance reaching a pitch in an emergency, and some residents have been unable to use their own cars due to players and supporters cars being abandoned behind them and blocking them in.

We dont' want to lose the use of the pitches at Birchington so please heed this notice.

The first of the semi-finals start this weekend, so this is a reminder that to play in a semi-final a player must have played three league or TSFL cup games for his respective club. Kent Cup games do not count towards the three games required.

If you are in any doubt about whether one of your players has qualified for the above, contact the Registrations Secretary, Tim Mather, who will confirm with you a players eligibility.
