MATCH REPORTING - IMPORTANT!!!

As mentioned at the AGM, the process of completing match result cards by hand has been replaced by an online process.

THIS WILL GO LIVE FROM THE FIRST SET OF FIXTURES ON 2ND SEPTEMBER!

To assist all club secretaries with this, a Step by Step Guide has now been added to the How To link in the Contents Section on the left of this Home Page.

Although the process to complete your match report is fairly straightforward, it is recommended that this guide is printed off and followed rigorously for your first couple of matches.

The process has been set up so as it is impossible for you to not report a referees name or mark, name a player twice or fail to submit a low referees score. Therefore, you will no longer be fined for these errors!

Online match reports must still be completed by the Tuesday after the Sunday match though.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Registrations Secretary if anyone has any questions with the new process.

NEW FA LAW - TAPE ON SOCKS

It needs to be brought to all players attention that this season will see a change with regards to tape used on socks. The new FA law now states that any tape used on the socks must be of the same colour it is being applied to. It also includes any use of ankle protectors that now have to be inside the sock and not worn on the outside (unless they are the same colour). The practice of also wearing a shorter sock of a different colour on the outside of the main sock, is also now not allowed. All referees will be instructed to implement the new law and stop any player ingoring this rule from taking part in the match until the tape/ankle protector is either changed or removed.

Anyone needing further clarification on the new law can contact the referee Secretary - Tim Amans who will be happy to help clarify the situation.

A text will be sent to all team managers regarding the above statement.

OPENING FIXTURES NOW CONFIRMED

The first two weeks of the season's fixtures are now confirmed and can be viewed by clicking on the "Fixtures" tab on the left hand menu. To avoid any confusion, Baypoint was formerly known as Richborough/Pfizers social club.

If you are not shown on any of the opening two Sundays, then you have a "free weekend" to enjoy!

The Andrew Sansom Memorial Trophy will be contested between Active Broadstairs and Bradstow Albion, and will take place at St Lukes Ground on Sunday 2nd September with a 3pm kick off.

This is sure to be a cracking game, and of course a good crowd is expected to see these two Premier Division teams in action.

IMPORTANT WEBSITE INFO REGARDING UPDATES ETC

There is an awful lot of updates going on behind the scenes of our website currently, and this means some club’s details may get removed for a short while whilst certain website testing is going on, and new systems installed.

Once all the TSFL website is “completely finished” a note will go on the website informing all clubs of this, and then you can check your own club’s details to see that they are 100% correct.

This also applies to the uploading of any new fixtures, as until these are advertised as “ready for viewing” they are not necessarily correct.
